This page introduces "Hirogeru-kun," a specialized die designed for expanding pipes. It is intended for use with commercially available manual hydraulic presses, including air-manual hydraulic presses, to facilitate easy pipe processing.
Dimension Adjustment: Set the desired expansion amount by adjusting the dimension adjustment screw on the expander.
A helpful tip is to set the target diameter to approximately +0.2 mm for more accurate results.
When adjusting the dimensions, remove the spring as shown in the image.
Please Note Regarding Processing Accuracy
Hirogeru-kun's performance may be affected by the roundness of the pipe being processed.
If the pipe is bent—especially near the bent sections—or if there is significant distortion in the original pipe, it may be difficult to achieve a perfect round shape.
When processing standard straight pipes, the typical processing accuracy is approximately ±0.2 mm.
Repeat Processing: Once the dimensions are set, you can repeatedly process pipes by pressing the upper die firmly.
Minimizing Marks: If you are concerned about marks left by the expander, it is recommended to rotate the pipe by 30 degrees and reprocess it.
To replace the expander on Hirogeru-kun, loosen the four hex socket head bolts (M10) located on the front. This will allow the holder to be removed and the expander to be replaced easily.
Caution: Loosening the bolts will cause the holder that holds the expander in place to fall.
Be careful when performing the replacement to avoid injury or damage.
